Using the thought process of how animals show affection is a brilliant way to compare how humans, especially the parent/child relationship, show affection. Our children each received a book and enjoyed reading it. Attention spans of little children are short and this author obviously knew this and kept it interesting and to the point. The pictures are beautiful and large. For small children and children with special needs, this is very important. These pictures enter the eye gate and help to form the setting while reading. Scores: positivity: 100%; love & acceptance: 100%; interest level: 100%; easy read for a child: 100%; bedtime choice: 100%; ideal choice for children & special needs: 100% ~ highly recommend
